TRAINING ON DESIGNING AND PRODUCT MAKING FROM DISCARDED/WASTE MATERIAL.
13th April, 2021 A three Days training program on Stitching and Product Making from discarded items and clothes was held at KCC Yuksam, organized by KCC and funded by UNDP Secure Himalaya Project. The Certified workshop started on 10th of April, chaired by the Yuksam-Dubdi Panchayat presidentShri Bhim Bdr. Gurung, with the participation of more than thirty participants from Yuksam and Gerethang GPU. The first day of the training completely focused on the basic of the tailoring such as using scissors, installing the sewing Machine, cutting cloths, peddling the machine and few other new items and equipments to get handy. The second and the third day of the training included getting used to the machine and making various crafts using the machine.
The respected resource person Mr. Mon Bahadur Thatal and Miss Tshering Uden Bhutia were extremely generous and enthusiastic to share their experience with the trainees during the whole session. The Valedictory session was graced by Panchayat President Yuksam GPU Shri Bhim Bdr Gurung. At the end of the training some of the products crafted by the participants were face mask, Shopping bags, Wallets, Phone pouch, crochet teddy bears, crochet strawberry key chains, tote bags, caps and etc.
