The partnership between the Khangchendzonga Conservation Committee (KCC) and the National Institute of Education resulted in a remarkable collaborative venture. Fourteen student-teachers from the institute immersed themselves in a transformative week in Yuksam, Sikkim. During this time, KCC showcased its extensive environmental conservation initiatives, including the innovative organic farm, recycled paper-making unit, and a waste segregation plant. The student-teachers actively engaged with KCC, lending their expertise to create a compelling promotional video that highlighted KCC's commendable efforts in environmental sustainability. Moreover, the exchange wasn't just one-sided; there was also a rich pedagogical exchange. The Singaporean student-teachers shared insights and best practices from Singapore's education system, elaborating about subject-specific methodologies with their Sikkimese counterparts.
